Ayos- one of several 'barbecue in a boat' seafood bars on the beach, at their busiest lunchtime when cooking giant paella's. Named after the working owner, now a local celebrity who, when a small boy, discovered the Nerja Caves. He is recognizable by the ponytail and the newspapers wrapped around his shins for protection against the fire!

Bakers Bar- good food, well presented, reasonably prices, in a modern setting. Affable host who obviously enjoys football on the TV. Open all year.

Rockys II- traditional Spanish home cooking and tapas 'like mama used to make'. Owned by two entertaining and cosmopolitan Spanish-Canadian brothers. Closed winter.

Nerja de Nerja (Bruxelles) – French and Belgian cuisine - up market but not expensive. Staff are very friendly and excellent service. You must try their mussels!

Wai Wok – Thai food – excellent flavours - good service and the also do take away food.
Merendero Moreno – situated right on the Burriana Beach – Spanish owned. Good service. Specialities in meat, fish and paellas, all prepared on a traditional bbq. (photos taken from Tripadvisor- See there reviews...)
Others we like on the beachfront include Colonia competitive environment makes them all more than acceptable, whether it's breakfast, lunch or Nerja de Nerja H2o

Had a fantastic week at the Acapulco Apartment. Love Autumn here in Nerja the grass is looking super duper green and the water is so calm. Nerja is truly looking so beautiful.

Stan Antwerpen Restaurant Nerja
Our review for Stan Antwerpen Restaurant in Nerja, Spain. It's run by a Belgium owner, the quality of the food and service is excellent. One of my favourite restaurants on the beach. A nice friendly atmosphere in lovely modern surroundings. I have tried various dishes and loved them all. This time I was there I had a lovely fish dish and my daughter had chicken with spicy prawns. Gosh, making my mouth water thinking about it. Would definitely recommend it! In fact, the owner said if you mention my name you would get a free glass of wine!

Just a few clothes & bag shops I would like to share...
Modas Mina is located in the town centre, its the kind of shop you stumble upon and then can never find the second time round! Well just incase this was you here it is. This shop is full of great quality leather accessories, perfect for gifts or treating yourself.
This is the most expensive bag in the shop but just to give you an example of the quality & craftsmanship that goes into these pieces. Please see photo below. All hand weaved and took over a week to make! (made in Morocco)

Nerja Restaurant: Italian Antica Roma
Views of Balcon De Europa...
We visited this restaurant for the first time the start of June 2012 and we loved it... The scollops to start was very well marinated and delicious. The tuna steak was cooked to perfection and my friends seem best pleased with their choice of the traditional italian dish mushroom risotto. Having visited Nerja every year for the past 15 years we have not yet come across such a lovely position for a restaurant. The views are wonderful and will definitely visit again.

"Just a note to say how much we enjoyed your lovely apartment. We all had such nice holiday, and enjoyed the perfect spot you have. The sea is something we always love, so of course the views were second to none, the pool and grassy garden was what the girls wanted, eating places so easy to find, we loved Bamboo the best and ate there most nights. What else can i say!"

"We returned from our holiday last Sunday and would like to thank you for all your assistance in the organisation of our holiday and say that we found the apartment absolutely brilliant. Very comfortable, clean and spacious and with a large balcony overlooking the sea front where we spend most of our days. We had no trouble finding our text at Malaga airport. Mark was there to greet us on arrival and showed us round and answered all our questions and ensuring that we had a contact number for him before leaving us to get on with sun worshipping! He also checked with us later in the week to confirm the taxi times for our return to Malaga, all went off with our a hitch. All in all we had a wonderful week and would not hesitate in using you again should we decide to go on another holiday."

"Just wanted to say how lovely our apartment was and a huge thank you for a short notice booking.
We had a wonderful time and it was just what the doctor ordered!
Please tell Jacquie her apartment was spotlessly clean and very cosy, there was plenty of room to hang clothes and more than enough drawer space. The matching coat hangers added that special touch, such a pleasure from everyone else's left behind miss matches. (i sound such a snob, only a woman would appreciate this) but it is the sort of thing i would do. Also all the hooks to hang things on was so useful.
The taxi driver a very pleasant man.
We are hoping to return beginning of September,"
